Public universities: Studying in public universities requires success in their admission test, which is called the YOS test, as public universities in Turkey use it to differentiate between students applying to them. The differentiation also depends on the strength of the file submitted by the student. Students with the best files are those with Stronger chances of admission to public universities in Turkey. No one can guarantee university admission to public universities in Türkiye.
Private universities: As for the conditions for studying in Turkey in private universities, they are not complicated. If the student has a high school diploma (baccalaureate), he can register in private universities without any qualifications certificate such as a YOS or SAT certificate.

  • The student must have successfully completed high school

Legal papers are important for every foreign student to be able to continue studying at a Turkish university. The most important of these papers you need is a student visa, which is obtained from the Turkish consulate, a residence permit issued by the Immigration Department, and renewed every year, in addition to health insurance.

You must also translate the high school certificate or its equivalent, a copy of the grades sheet after translating it into Turkish and certified by a notary public and the school.

Passing the YÖS exam
It is known as the YÖS exam for foreign students, which provides them with the opportunity to study in Turkey in the faculties of medicine, law, psychology, architecture, pharmacy, and a large number of other specializations. The test consists of 80 questions, 45 questions related to understanding and general information, and 35 other questions related to the university you want to join and the specialization you want to study.

Turkish language proficiency certificate: Most Turkish universities require proficiency in the Turkish language through the TOMER test or to compensate for that by entering a preparatory year to learn the Turkish language. Also, passing the YÖS or SAT exams are two necessary conditions in the case of enrollment in Turkish public universities. As for private universities in Turkey, they do not require these two conditions, but only require a high school certificate.
